Coffee Meet

First Christian Church gives away meals in the park blocks at 11:30 on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday at Jefferson and Park, in front of the Oregon Historical Society museum.

Coffee is served at about 11:15, and the event ends at 12:00 if the coffee hasn't run out by then, which happens only occassionally. Sack lunches are distributed slowly to insure everyone gets one.

Koreans often help serve coffee on Monday and Tuesday, so I wrote a flyer containing useful Korean words and phrases in plain English. I distribute a limited number of copies each week. You may also print it yourself.

Although I'm not a Christian myself, I value the service the First Christian Church provides. It fosters a community that's as accessible as the sidewalk itself; this I like. Thank you Paul for guiding the event every Monday and Tuesday, and Mary for volunteering to serve coffee every Monday where she often supplies her own half-and-half. You are amazing.

I attend this event every Monday and Tuesday from start to finish. People who wish to meet me in person may do so here. If for whatever reason I cannot attend, I will note it here as soon as I can.
